EKTA Kettering: Young People Against Racism
Welcome to the EKTA website.
We are a group of young people from secondary schools in Kettering
Borough, between the ages of 12 and 18. We formed as a group in
January 2001, so that we could educate other young people about
the effects of racism and provide help, advice and support for victims
of racial abuse, racist assault, racial harassment and bullying
in schools and the wider community in the Kettering Borough.
We want people to know that RACISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
Our organisation is sponsored by Kettering Borough Council who
identified racism as a subject of community concern within the local
area, especially amongst young people. We support young people across
the borough including Kettering, Wellingborough, Rothwell and Desborough.
